Common use
The active component of Furacin is nitrofurazone. It is used in treatment of infected burns. Also it can be used in treatment infections. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth.
Dosage and directions
Use it as it was prescribed by your doctor. Follow all recommendations of your doctor.
Precautions
If your burn skin doesn't improve, or it becomes worse, tell you doctor.
Contraindications
do not use it if you have kidney disease, allergic reaction o Furacin or any other medicines, foods, if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding.
Possible side effects
The most common side effects are rash, swelling, ithcing. If you notice any other side effects call your doctor.
Drug interaction
tell your doctor about all prescribed and not prescribed medications you may use. Do not use it if you are using any other topical medications.
Missed dose
If you miss a dose of this medicine, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
